Scott Pazera's Funk Implosion

Scott Pazera's Funk Implosion features many of the finest musicians in Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Appearing live at the Lubeznik Art & Artisan Festival in Michigan City, IN on Sunday August 21, 2016 at 3:00pm will be Carl Coan on saxophones, Doc Odies Williams III on trumpet, Billy Foster on keyboards, Scott Pazera on bass and Robert Gates on drums. The group was formed to feature a modern take on the funk sounds of New Orleans and one of NOLA's most prolific musicians in Allen Toussaint. This group represents a rich history and tradition of jazz and education in Northwest Indiana and each member of the Implosion is a well respected sideman as well as a leader. The group will be playing a mix of original funk compositions as well as a broad selection of standards in the Funk/Jazz repertoire. Come and join us in beautiful Michigan City for a celebration of the Arts.
The Implosion is comprised of the finest musicians in the Chicago, Lafayette and Indianapolis areas. Appearing live at the Taste of Tippecanoe's Jazz Stage in Lafayette, IN on Saturday June 19, 2010 at 10:30pm will be Mike Stricklin, Rich Cohen & Ned Boyd on saxophones, Rich Dole on trombone, Jamie Newman on keyboards, Scott Pazera on bass and Kenny Phelps on drums. The group was honored to be the first to perform for the newly formed Jazz Club in Lafayette and has also performed at the Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis. The group performs a mix of original music as well as charts spanning the history of popular music through today. This event will also mark the release of a 5 song EP.
